In a region plagued by unpredictable and unfavorable weather, Food Court Skatepark was the solution born out of necessity and passion to provide a year round facility to bring people from all walks of life and all over the country together.

The idea of opening up Food Court Skatepark inside the McKinley Mall, located on the outskirts of Buffalo NY started in 2018. Seeing the current state of the mall and most malls in general, it made perfect sense to bring something different to the once bustling retail focused facility. 

After years of planning, negotiating, ownership changes and a pandemic; Food Court Skatepark opened its doors on July 23rd 2023.

Since that day, we’ve seen thousands of people come through and enjoy the facility. Whether on a skateboard, scooter, rollerblades or quads, Food Court Skatepark has proven to be a community center providing a welcoming place for everyone to stop by, have fun and make new friends. With a focus on not only action sports, the park strives to cultivate a complete culture including art, music, video, photography and cuisine.
